Open Reply to Oily Lorenzo

December 31, 2017

“Dear Professor (he is not a professor, and he long ago gave up the moral right to call himself even  ‘Dr’, as he no longer obeys rational scientific norms or uses proper methods of scientific investigation) Eckardt,

thanks a lot for your kind and exhaustive (exhausting to correct, more like) reply.

I have just some few comments:

-energy from vacuum: I know that in Germany professor Marcus Reid and prof Claus Turtur are working on the possibility to technologically harness such energy. (Isn’t it good to know that loonies are everywhere; it makes the UK and US look less bad)

Also the late Stefan Marinov was working on it in cooperation with a German company before (mysteriously) passing away in 1997. (Marinov was an anti-Einstein crank who was heavily into perpetual-motion and antigravity. His death was not mysterious: he committed suicide by jumping off the fire-escape at his local university library. It appears that the fall also broke a [much more valuable] highlighter pen which was in his pocket. Seeing the day-glow yellow around him, a loony observer called it a halo. Marinov is missed only by fellow conmen).

I believe that both the formers and a lot of others are working as you said by using private founding (why do they need ‘funding’? If the gadgets already work, why not sell them as novelty items at market stalls … or on Ebay? Admit it: you cranks just want money for old rope. The latter does at least provide some energy … if one burns it)  but targeting completely different devices (Why? How many different perpetual-motion machines does the world need? After all, they all work … don’t they?) . I’m of the opinion that it should be desirable a sort of “alliance” and connection between those different researchers of this topic in order to properly circulate information and maximize results considering the founding limitations. (Not ‘alliance’, ‘conspiracy’ … one cannot say conspiracy without saying ‘con’)

Thanks to ECE theory I believe that how to achieve space-time resonances has been clarified once for all, but the biggest challenge is still to close the energetic cycle of a technological device. (Ah, always the same problem: the ever-overbalancing wheel that does not quite overbalance, the buoyancy device that suffers from airlock problems, the magnetic motor that cannot quite make a complete circuit, the oscillator circuit that cannot quite power itself. Have you heard of a little thing called the first law of thermodynamics?)

I’m sure that this achievement has already been reached by other researchers/inventors in the past, but details are hidden from the general public. (Another familiar moan: the patent was blocked, the inventor was bought-off [or murdered] … or there is a glut of working perpetual-motion machines being used to polish the captured flying-saucers at Area 51. Jeez, ‘have a word with yourself you utter twat’, as the English say)

I’m not a fan of conspiracies, but knowing the monolithic interests that are behind the actual energy marked, I would not be astonished if one day we discover that such a cover up was pursued intentionally. For this reason, if I can suggest something, I would be very cautious before publishing any result in case your team will reach the final goal. (See? Same refrain as the above)

-Gyroscopes and linear momentum violations: this is a very interesting aspect of mechanics. (‘Interesting’ in the sense of non-existent? There can be no anomalous results in classical mechanics because the governing equations are all predicated on Newton’s third law. General relativity offers a loophole, but the loophole is too small to exploit). I remember when I was studying it in university, the sensation that something “magic” and mysterious was around the gyroscope despite the tons of equations spent in books (You were clearly a poor student, and got by by rote-learning and parroting things that you did/do not understand. Hint: tempting as it seems to assume so, the angular momentum vector rarely coincides with the axle of the spinning-top. Duh!). The astonishment is even bigger if one handles a spinning top in his hands (Hey, that’s what Laithwaite said. That is what all second-rate minds think. Is there a club that you fools have to join?) (a similar sensation of mystery you can have by looking a Crooke’s radiometer spinning…). (You probably have that wrong as well. Ooh, the Sun’s rays push it round? Nope. Never mind, Crookes [at least try to get the name correct!] got it wrong as well. Did you know that he took it to seances in order to detect ghosts?)

There are a lot of claims in literature about apparent violation of linear momentum by gyroscopes and weightless behavior. My question is: How is it possible that such an over-studied device (Euler, Lagrange, Kovaleskaya…and many others) that is also extensively applied in technology since more than 100 years (cannon bullets, ship stabilizers, planes and more recently satellites) has never attracted the attention of the scientific community due to its allegedly anomalous behaviors ? this is another mystery to me. (Er, physicists and mathematicians have never ceased to study gyroscopic phenomena. There are no levitational or propulsive properties to be discovered. Have you never heard of Noether’s Theorem? Engineers, by the way, design devices so that they  match those few equations which can be solved in closed form. What about other equations and devices? This is interesting:  to our knowledge, only one person has ever bothered to analyze the spinning-top by attacking the object itself – rather than the Euler equations – directly by computer simulation. Not surprisingly, he also finds no anomalous results)

-ECE books: thanks a lot for the links. The first I had red since long time, the second I’m reading it now. I was particularly struck by the final discussion about the non existence of the background cosmic radiation and it’s very probable terrestrial origin (oceans). Your explanation sounds very reasonable and satisfactory to me (using your words: “everything is cooler and in the light of reason” J). I was grown with the fairy tales about COBE satellites outcomes and that was the truth for me since “yesterday”. Discovering now, at the age of 40, that those were all lies (saying nothing about particle physics world and their expensive and useless accelerators), gives me a very bitter sensation. Discovering now that the scientific community is in such a carcinogenic-metastatic state….changes radically the way we have to look the world. (To pursue your analogy: you have become nothing more than another metastase of the cancer that is Myron Evans)

Best Wishes and happy new year!

How to Fake Scientometrics

Methods of Preparation of Scientometrics

December 29, 2017

The attached is a synopsis of the way in which our scientometrics are prepared. The website has been used recently. The typo “” in the attached should be replaced by, which is IBM approved. Our own Webalizer and Weblog data are summarized in the attached. One interesting fact is that there are 3,530 cross links to Yahoo and Bing from for This number looks to be the same as the number of items on They have all been picked up by Yahoo and Bing. Note that picks up only a fraction of the data that are picked up by our own feedback sites. We have been using our own feedback sites since 2002. The fruitcake site has been totally ignored for eighteen years. This can be seen beyond reasonable doubt using Fruitcake is not ranked anywhere and is estimated to have one visitor a day. I suspect that this means nothing at all and is a standard guesstimate by Using for fruitcake shows that it it is frequently totally ignored for months on end. Fruitcake is a typical hate blog, it repels all decent people. For some years, our policy at AIAS / UPITEC is to ignore fruitcake completely, except to note that it has no traffic. My own policy towards Ioan Richard is to ignore him completely and permanently. Oscar Wilde sums them up perfectly: “There is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about”. A lot of our readers know the identity of the fruitcake site, and can check for themselves by typing it in to and”

The main step is to shop around, among the various website evaluation services, until one finds the service that gives the results that one wants. Ron really scrapes the barrel in this respect and uses sites which claim that we have been operating for nearly 18 years! Not a good start. It also gets the numbers of hits disastrously wrong: our hit-counter is about to roll over to 141,000. That makes over 14,000 hits since July. We would invite you to ‘do the math’, Ron, but we know that you cannot. Oh, and this year you can thank us for some 1500 referrals to your blog.

Number of physicists and astronomers in the world

December 29, 2017

This was the result of a google search – I think it must refer to faculty or similar.

Subject: Re: Number of physicists and astronomers in the world
To: Myron Evans <myronevans123>

Are you sure that there are no more than 17,100 physicists in the world? Did you only count permanent members of universities? Then this number may be realistic. There should however be many more scientitst with an education in physics.
Some time I was told that there are only about 1000 physicists in the world who understands Einstein’s theories. This may be a realistic number.”

The figure probably refers only to those who function as professional physicists, and does not include those who ‘did a physics degree’ and then went into a different field. The latter are a permanent potential menace because they often try to use their half-remembered and out-of-date knowledge to compete with those who have stayed in the field. This causes great confusion among journalists, ‘science-writers’ and other laymen. A typical case would be Eric Laithwaite, who rose high in the electrical engineering field but remained pig-ignorant of (and antagonistic towards) physics. The journalists thus thought that Professor Laithwaite’s demented opinion of spinning-tops outweighed that of the hundreds of non-celebrity physicists. We ourselves have to contend with electrical engineers and chemists who ‘did a physics course’ decades ago but who are unqualified to make valid scientific innovations. The man-in-the-street never seems to learn that not everybody who ‘wears a white coat’ is on the same page. In fact, a great deal of pseudoscience emanates from supposed ‘centres of scientific excellence’, such as NASA.

Number of physicists and astronomers in the world

December 28, 2017

Currently there are 17,100 physicists and astronomers in the world. We know from fifteen years of scientometrics that most of them study ECE and ECE2 theories regularly, and from the best universities in the world, and have done for fifteen years. ”

Name just one who cites, or corresponds, with you.

“In 2016 the average number of distinct visits per month to combined sites was 26,542, increasing sharply to 37,402 last month, and approaching a new record high this month. ”

Why do you write ‘combined’, when you very well know that the other site is rarely visited?

“Our methods at AIAS / UPITEC have made the journal and citation methods obsolete because clearly, everyone reads ECE and ECE2 all the time.”

Yeah, yeah, but they are all still too scared (for their jobs) to mention ECe in any milieu or context, even though they are now supposedly in the ascendancy. Can you not see how incompatible your two claims are?

“In my opinion something is only worth doing if it is radically new and tested against data. I have never been a one for grinding the old cobblers. ”

Yes you have! Your entire career has been based upon ‘glorified curve-fitting’; in your case, fitting ad hoc models to limited data. That is no better than the dead-end methods of Greek ‘science’. Have you never read Bacon? You never test theory using new data.

“EGR has been refuted in many different ways so the Einstein field equation predicts nothing.”

It has never been refuted, and has passed every experimental test.

“A paper such as UFT225 completely refutes electroweak theory, so there is no Higgs boson. ”

A paper which contradicts experimental proof is automatically suspect.

“A small group of ancient mariners keeps rolling out the dogma via captive media, but the dogma is immediately discarded. A community of 17,100 people is a large village or small town. There are village idiots who are well known to be idiots. They rarely shave and never look in the mirror, and are fond of calling the entire village an idiot. The village knows them well, smiles, and writes more refutations. Who holds the high ground in the village and who owns the cesspit full of dogma? On a foggy and bitterly snowy evening in December, it is easy to fall into the dogma, like Dunstan Cass in “Silas Marner”. He had just stolen all the weaver’s hoarded gold, or taxpayers’ funding. Many years later when they cleared the bile and dogma, a skeleton was found with a big bag of funding. No ideas in sight. He had drowned in years of bile – Dunstan Cass, the Squire’s younger son, an idle waster . So the children of the village look at things anew and with wonder every morning, and keep away from the cesspit.”

The problem with such attempts at literary allusion (nice little nod to Bertrand Russell, by the way) is that it so often rebounds on the writer. Stop dissing Craigcefnparc!

Dear Lorenzo, There is a Santa Claus

December 28, 2017

“Dear Lorenzo (are you really in charge of a nuclear facility?),

Prof. (he really isn’t) Evans has a new email address (because he is frequently stymied by technology that a school-kid can handle), see CC of this email.
Let me give some comments to your questions. Spacetime devices is a field with a lot of cheating and unproven claims (and we provide much of that). We try to seperate the weat from the chaff. The mechanisms of Osamu Ide (er, his gadgets certainly do oscillate … like door chimes) have been proven by our Munich group (we use our own unique definition of proof) but so far we have not succeeded in building a functionable energy device (because that is impossible) . The (fraudulent) Bedini machine did not deliver overunity (because that is impossible), we only made a theoretical study (and got it wrong). Another field (of fraudulent activity) we are pursuing is magnetic generators (or “motors” we cannot tell the difference). Here we are working on several concepts scams that are promising. As private persons, we have to use our hobbyist budget. Thing would proceed faster (after pigs take flight) if we could give development orders to mechanical and EE companies but as you know this is politically delicate (not to say criminal) and nobody of other inventors who went this way succeeded with this (except for Rossi, who got funding and then spent 8 years in jail for it). It would be sufficient if a research lab of a university would work with us but even this is not possible for well known reasons (i.e. 99% of them have never heard of us, and the rest laugh at us). We ourselves will use the open source paradigm (now a major money-making racket) with no information hiding (not that we have any information worthy of the name). I agree with your political agenda (we try not to mention the war).
There is no commercial device available to date (because that is impossible) but the LENR device E-cat of Rossi seems to be nearest to market launch (although he may go back to jail), if he will overcome the problems with his financing company (and that will be the reason).”

Youngest Recipient of the D. Sc. Degree

December 26, 2017

My D. Sc. Thesis is in the Hugh Owen Library and National Library of Wales, and the first few pages are in the Omnia Opera of It was submitted on 23rd April 1977, when I was twenty six, and awarded without corrections or criticism early in 1978. It is a distinction higher than full professor. ”

And one has to wonder why: the work upon which this award was based was unremarkable and little-cited … except by yourself. We maintain that this was a desperate attempt to be rid of you (companies often give exemplary references to troublesome employees, in order to make them tempting to others).

“So I effectively became a full professor at the age of twenty six. ”

No you didn’t; since when does a qualification equate directly to an appointment? Other skills are required and sought.

“Very rarely is the D. Sc. awarded to a scholar under forty, because one has to have forged a distinguished international reputation to be awarded the degree.”

You had not ‘forged an international reputation’ … and you still haven’t, not even as a nutter (why does the GASE not list you)

“I was awarded the Harrison Memorial Prize in 1978 and the Meldola Medal in 1979.”

Do you know where some bodies are buried? There is no other rational explanation

“These are now kept in the archives of Wolfson College, Oxford. I am one of only two people in history who have been awarded both the Harrison and Meldola, the other being Geoffrey Luckhurst.”

“I refuse to accept the illegal dissolution of the University of Wales, so regard myself as full professor in the University of Wales.”

“I earned another full professorship at UNCC in 1992,”

A post for which you were singularly unqualified; who hires a chemist to teach physics? Is that why you spent so much time ‘working at home”? Were you cramming ready for your next lecture.

“and resigned”

after losing the ‘battle of the smell’.

“to become Director, later President, of the world famous AIAS, later AIAS / UPITEC. ”

Swerving physical suicide, you committed professional suicide.

“As usual, the wikipedia article on the D. Sc. is inacurate, it omits all mention of my D. Sc. and has an entry on someone called Charles W. Lovelace, a person who apparently does not exist. The ECE theory is fully accepted by mainstream physics in that it is read regularly at the best universities in the world. ”

Translation: a few unknown persons occasionally access your websites for unknown reasons. Even the lunatic fringe ignores ECe.

“The wikipedia article on ECE is well known to have been a failed attempt to discredit the theory using scientific fraud. ”

The ECe wikipedia entry is effectively frozen, due to a lack of new reliable information on the subject. The Talk page is regularly updated.

“Obviously, Cartan geometry has not been “discredited”, and ECE is Cartan geometry itself – that is the beauty and power of the theory.”

Of course it hasn’t … but your extensions of it are demonstrably incorrect.

December 22, 2017

Merry Christmas, Froehliche Weihnachten, to Horst Eckardt and the colleagues of the Muenich Group. This has indeed been a fruitful year, with many major advances, many by Horst himself. His graphics and analysis of the famous Sections 3 greatly add to the value of the “stark mathematics”. The interest in ECE2 is at a very high plateau, and we understand the vacuum much more clearly than ten or twenty years ago. We are able to map the vacuum and calculate its effect on all aspects of physics.”

Wikipedia Entries on Myself

December 21, 2017

Wikipedia admits freely that it has no authority, it does not even know the credentials of its editors. I am in Wikipedia in several ways: Harrison and Meldola Medallist, Civil List Pensioner and Google Scholar. The Wikipedia entry on ECE is now a cashed relic that is a decade out of date. It is like a burnt out tank, a failed attempt to destroy ECE. It suppresses my real CV, which is found in the blue box of I no longer use the journal system, the website system is orders of magnitude more powerful, and already has the permanency of a stalactite. The self appointed “experts” of Wikipedia chant their dogma to themselves in Plato’s cave. My guess is that anyone who tries to post my CV on Wikipedia will find it crazily removed by their system, even though I am displayed in many ways by the same system. Reductio ad absurdum.”

… the Wikipedia Einstein-Cartan-evans site is regularly up-dated:–Cartan–Evans_theory

But it is a little too ‘wishy-washy’ to our minds and could be far more critical of, and less deferential to, a major crank and national embarrassment. The main contributor appears to be located at York University. Ron’s CV (even the true parts) is irrelevant as it dates from the pre-breakdown era. Many famous real scientists/mathematicians (Hamilton, Eddington, Godel, etc.) went downhill in later life; nobody then thought that their previous good reputation counted for anything.

Dear President Trump

December 13, 2017

December 13, 2017

In my opinion the Constitution needs to be amended to allow impeachment by ordinary majority of the Senate, not a two thirds majority. I strongly support this campaign but a Republican Congress would have to be persuaded to impeach a Republican President. I doubt that Trump will be impeached, but he is a lame duck President, unable to do anything positive. A special prosecutor can be sacked like Archibald Cox, and a ruthless President will simply ignore the impeachment if he knows the votes are not there. A much more effective method of prosecuting a President is needed. Another Amendment would test a Presidential candidate for state of psychological health before he is allowed to take the Oath of Office.”

… there is an American citizen calling for your impeachment. There are lots of them of doing that of course but this one you can easily be rid of. He is not even a citizen: he lives in Wales (the part of the UK that belongs to Prince Charles), and his claim to be American in any case hangs by a thread (being the cast-off spouse of an American woman). He is the precise opposite of your sort of people: he is not rich, nor successful nor at all influential. He likes to threaten his critics with an FBI investigation. We can imagine how you feel about guys like that. So, have a word with State and discipline at least one signatory to that impeachment petition.

Gunter family of Llanigon

December 13, 2017

Nice to hear from you, I am descended from Edward Evans and Elizabeth Gunter who were married in St Mary’s Cusop on Dec 27th 1737. The marriage record did not have the parents’ names, but they must have been baptized in about 1710 – 1715. Their descendants of the first two generations were baptized in the same church, then the record moves to Llanigon. So my guess is that they were both baptized in about 1710 – 1715 in a church near to Cusop, Llaneigon, the church in Clyro, or Hay on Wye. It is known that the Gunters of Llanigon had links to the Gunters of TreGunter, who were descended from Pierre Gunter or Gunnar, an authentic knight of Bernard de Neufmarche. I am hoping to push the line back from Elizabeth Gunter to Pierre Gunter of the eleventh century). There is a Gunter Family Forum also. I am also hoping to push the line back from Edward Evans as far as it will go. My line to Maenarch ap Dryffin is attached, and back to 1,100 B.C. This would also be your line. To be awarded a coat of arms (armorial bearings), the rules of the College of Arms are that one has to be an eminent person (not necessarily of royal blood, or republican blood, or blue blood). A petition for arms is submitted to the Earl Marshall and if successful you would be awarded arms by letters patent, in a long roll encased in a red box. You can suggest the design to a Herald, both of the arms and the armorial badge. You become an Armiger (Bearer of Arms or Squire). In my case I am an Uchelwr by descent from the Princes of Wales, and so do you if you can prove descent at every generation with at least one document. That is a much higher rank than Squire, but Squire in the modern sense is as just described. It is not someone who lives in a big house. I am interested in accuracy of scholarship. My direct line consists of farm labourers almost the whole way back. If you have any group or forum information about Edward Evans and Elizabeth Gunter it would be much appreciated.”

Your connection with ‘the Princes’ is due to what – in genealogical terms – amounts to little more than a (literally) old-time knee-trembler. And indeed, any shallow social-climber with a few thousand to spare – and with no serious criminal record – could soon lord it over the village. In fact, as you have no ‘piece-of-paper’  to prove that you are ‘squire’ or ‘Lord of Gower’, there could soon be a glut of both. Never mind, your complete lack of social importance matches up well with your complete lack of scientific prestige.

The ‘Never Was’ of Physics

Application of MZ Theory to Chemistry and Physics

December 6, 2017

The major application in chemistry is to chemical shift theory in ESR and NMR, which is explained with the magnetic dipole potential of the nucleus, and the magnetic dipole field of the nucleus. These shiver in the presence of the vacuum, aether or spacetime, so the chemical shifts are affected by the vacuum in a different way for each atom of a molecule. These vacuum effects can be detected by NMR and ESR, the H atom Lamb shift is one famous example of the effect of the vacuum. The Lamb shift is quite a large effect. So the Coulomb law between electron and proton in the H atom is considerably affected by the vacuum. Therefore the macroscopic Coulomb law will also be affected. The distance between two charges is of the order of eight orders of magnitude larger than the distance between proton and electron in H, so it will need precise apparatus to detect the effect of the vacuum on the ordinary Coulomb law. However, using spin connection resonance the effect could be amplified enormously. The major application in physics and engineering is to maximize the transfer of electric power from the vacuum to a circuit (UFT311, UFT321, UFT364, UFT382 and UFT383). For example, what is the <delta r dor delta r> needed to explain the experimental results of a circuit such as those in UFT311, UFT382 and UFT382? Spin connection resonance can be worked into MZ theory, in order to use resonance to maximize energy transfer from the vacuum to a circuit. The application in relativity theory is the ability to calculate the vacuum map – the spin connection four vector. There is a vast amount of scope for development.”

There are no applications in physics and engineering, but it will ‘go down well’ with the crooks who try to sell perpetual machines (or construction plans for them, or books about them) to the gullible. There are no ‘experimental results’; or, at least, none that would be accepted by anyone possessing a modicum of experimental skill.  It is quite amazing, nonetheless, how these crooks manage to make a living out of pseudoscience. Searl, for instance, has been ‘dining out’ for sixty years on a lie.  One can conclude only that his fans must be mentally ill. Who else would swallow his stories of a levitating perpetual-motion machine that nobody has ever seen? Who would believe that he built 42 flying saucers for the American Air Force, then thought better of it, sent them into space … and made them invisible for good measure. Oh hang on, he supposedly sent only 41 into space and the remaining one was stored in Archangel (at the height of the Cold War [sic]). What sort of moron could fail to spot Searl for a fantasizing crook? Well has a permanent link to a Searl website. Then there is that other moron, ‘Dr Bearden’, who thinks that the Yakusa use ray-guns to affect the weather and that ‘men in black’ are trying to kill him using ice-bullets.  He managed to get a granted patent on a perpetual-motion machine, which goes to show only that the USPO employs loonies … as indeed it does, given that one of them has been ‘Dr’ Thomas Valone of the Integrity (LOL) Institute. Ron and his band of so-called academics ‘explained’ theoretically how Bearden’s perpetual-motion machine works … except that it doesn’t of course. Either Bearden is an incompetent experimenter, or simply someone who can hide behind a corkscrew.  Bearden once turned up at an engineering conference (organised by seven bona fide US engineering associations), promising to demonstrate antigravity. He was unable to do so because a vital part of his apparatus burned out. What was that exotic component? An ordinary incandescent light-bulb! “How many Beardens does it take to screw up a light-bulb” haha. Who in their right mind would let such a conman anywhere near a reputable conference. How about a scientific journal? Step forward, Ron, who let Bearden pollute a (once) prestigious journal with his lies. On the other hand, there was no outcry, so perhaps all chemists are as ignorant of physics as Ron.  So all of these apparently innocent ‘discoveries’ by Ron have only one object and that is to help petty criminals to sell their shoddy wares. It is symbiosis/synergy at their worst: crooked inventor + fake academic = successful scam.  You are not part of physics, Ron. You never have been, and you never could be.

Latest Direct Line

December 1, 2017

This is the latest direct line, and goes back to 1737 at present, the marriage of Edward Evans with Elizabeth Gunter, of Norman descent from an authentic knight of Bernard de Neufmarche – Pierre Gunther, obviously a Norse name (Gunar Her or Gunr Her – warrior). The marriage and descent has been confirmed by the records at St. Mary’s Cusop (Vicar and Church Warden). To go back further needs a systematic search of records of Churches near Hay on Wye. Cusop is right on the border, just across the river from Cleirwy and Llanigon, all close to Gelli Gandryll (Hay on Wye). It is known that a link existed between the Gunters of Tre Gunter and Llanigon. It seems likely that the father of Edward Evans (who must have been born in about 1715) and married in 1737, was another Edward Evans, because there is a long line of them.”

All that that shows, and you are pretty stupid to show it, is that your direct (Evans) line does not go back that far and contains no remarkable people. All of your claims to royalty etc., stem from a chance coupling with a member of a more ‘interesting’ family. That is totally meaningless: the traditional role of genealogy was to trace the rights to wealth and power. Modern ‘any connection goes’ genealogy is just a money-making scam to extract fees from pathetic social-climbers. A mere brush with an outlier  female member did not endow the ‘morganatic’  family with any wealth, power or prestige. Like all of your claims to fame, your ‘link to the princes’ has no solid foundation.

BTW, can anybody explain why booksellers do this? Are they counting on the occasional uninformed idiot keeping them going?

We are rather surprised that he gave Feynman 5 stars; Feynman would not have given him the ‘steam off his water’, as the Irish say.
